Die handgemachten BLUE-POTTERY-Seifenschalen stammen aus einer besonderen Manufaktur im indischen Jaipur. Bei einem Besuch der verarmten Region rund um die Stadt wurde der Gründerin der Manufaktur bewusst, dass man mit der traditionellen, kaum praktizierten Töpferkunst der bedürftigen Landbevölkerung so eine Chance geben könne, sich ihren Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen – und zwar ohne ihr Zuhause auf dem Land verlassen zu müssen.
Inzwischen sichert die traditionelle Töpferkunst mehr als 150 Töpferinnen und Töpfern aus vier verschiedenen Dörfern die Lebensgrundlage. Insgesamt verhalf das Unternehmen über 1000 Mitarbeitern zu einem gesicherten Lebensunterhalt, und die Zukunft der Blue Pottery kann so vor dem Aussterben bewahrt werden.

The handmade BLUE POTTERY soap dishes come from a special manufactory in Jaipur, India. During a visit to the impoverished region around the city, the founder of the manufactory realised that the traditional, hardly practised art of pottery could give the disadvantaged rural population a chance to earn a living - without having to leave their home in the countryside.
Nowadays, the traditional art of pottery secures the livelihood of more than 150 potters from four different villages. In total, the company has helped more than 1,000 workers to secure their livelihoods, and the future of the Blue Pottery can thus be saved from extinction.
The hand-painted bowl has an oval shape and is provided with holes for water drainage, so that your soap always stays dry and does not become unpleasantly greasy.
